I’m Moving To…
One year ago, while on the World Race, the Lord introduced me to a concept known as “business as missions.” Immediately, I knew that God was calling me to be a part of it.
On the race, my team and I spent two weeks serving at the Overflow Guesthouse in Cambodia. The Overflow is a hostel run by Adventures in Missions (AIM) that’s purposed to be an overflow of God’s love to tourists, local partners, mission teams, and ministry hosts in the country. It acts as a central hub for ministry operations in Cambodia with missionaries coming through to be sent out to the surrounding areas. I loved experiencing the combination of a sustainable business with Kingdom ministry that has a long-term impact.
After the race I moved to Gainesville, GA to attend AIM’s leadership and discipleship school (CGA), with a desire to be trained in Christ-like leadership and continued spiritual growth and intimacy with the Lord. Towards the end of my time at CGA I got an email that sparked something inside of me. I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to go after it: it was a dream come true. So that’s what I did!
On August 1st, 2017, I will be moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand to pioneer a new base for Adventures in Missions!
I have been asked to be a part of the Thailand Base Pioneer Team that will spend one year in Chiang Mai, Thailand building the next AIM base. The base will be a hostel/guesthouse and will follow the model set by the Overflow guesthouse. We will be starting from the ground and working up to a full functioning business. Here is a short description about the vision for the base:
“The Adventures Thailand Base will be our long-term presence in Chiang Mai, starting a hostel, hosting World Race and short-term teams, developing Kingdom partnerships, and pioneering our discipleship and church planting efforts in the country. The team will have the opportunity to minister to locals, backpackers, and short-term mission teams.”
The base pioneer team is unlike any other team Adventures has ever put together. I’m so humbled and honored to be a part of it. As a pioneer team, we will be strategic in setting up ministry, business and logistical support before passing the base off to a long-term team.
This opportunity is a dream come true. Only God could have orchestrated a ministry opportunity that could combine my passion for missions, my love for business, and my heart for the nations. I am extremely excited to see how I will get to partner with God to create something that will have such a huge impact in Thailand. My biggest hope is that all the work we do over the next year will bring glory to God and make His name known in Thailand!

- This year in Thailand is going to be challenging as with any trip, but especially as to the nature of the trip. My team and I will be relying on the Lord to provide, speak and direct everything we do. I would love if you could come alongside me and pray for me and my team.
- Lastly, for me to launch in August I need to be FULLY pledged with monthly supporters. I have been asked to raise $1,000 for each of the 12 months that I have committed. I am looking for people who want to come alongside me by committing to monthly donations of any amount ($25, $50, $100, or whatever you are able and feel led to give). This is going to be vital in getting me out there as I can’t go without this funding. If you would prefer to support through a one-time donation that is very much appreciated as well!
